Call to Serve meets with Stanford Alumni-in-Government Club of Sacramento, March 2006

Spearheaded by the Stanford Alumni-in-Government Club of Sacramento, the Call to Serve Initiative staff, with support from the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, was able to charter a bus to take nearly 30 students to Sacramento for this day of events with alumni working in California state government.

In February 2006, Call to Serve brought NASA astronaut Ellen Ochoa ’81 (MS, Electrical Engineering; ’85 PhD) to speak to students about the role of scientists and engineers in government and public service.
